You should, and this goes for every Wii U owner, get at least Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros., and Splatoon. Those 3 games are essentials and an absolute must on the system - if you don't have at least 2 of them, you might as well have never bought the console in the first place.

With that out of the way, I'd also recommend Super Mario 3D World, DKC: Tropical Freeze and Pikmin 3. If you've never played The Wind Waker, get the remake - if you have, still get it unless you don't want to play it again at all.

Has Splatoon fixed its map rotations? This is seriously the biggest reason why I can't recommend this game to anyone (other than the fact that I don't own it ).

The map rotation is not a deal breaker at all, people loves the game as it is, don´t you think is for some good reason? Like being inkredibly fun and all that jazz.

Bayonetta 2 and I also think that lego city undercover is highly under appreciated.

Some of us could care less for particular games. I don't think there are any games which a Wii U owner is required to or "must" own.

Feel free to check out my stream on twitch

Don't neglect the eShop! Link to the Past, Earthbound, Child of Light, Guacamelee and Kirby Super Star should be on everyones Wii U.

Other than those, Super Mario 3D World is absolutely fantastic. If you have casual friends, Wii Party U could be a lot of fun (my friends really love it).

It's as Goodnightmoon says. It's clear you don't have the game, because for those who do, everyone knows and agrees that the map rotation is no big deal, most people are fine with it. Mode rotation in ranked battles is a bigger issue, but to me at least it's still just a minor nuisance... if anything it kinda adds to the excitement, not gonna lie.

Glad many people seem to enjoy it. I'm kinda bummed that a heavily focused Nintendo multiplayer game has such limited options though but I dont want to derail the thread. I'm optimistic that a sequel will address most of my gripes with the game though.

Even if anybody who bought game have blast with it!?

Seriously, like few people already stated, map rotations isn't deal breaker, in fact that gives another very original and interesting note to game.

I think you would forget about most of your gripes after few hours with game. ;)
