"But you can still appreciate someone for being beautiful in their own skin and not have to be bigot. "

The problem is that it's not their own skin. That's what makes it unattractive.

Ummm.. A person can be whoever the hell they want to be. It's their life. So yea, it kinda is their own skin.

Yeah, I can be a lion in my own mind, but lions won't find me attractive.

And regardless of what they believe their own "skin" is in their mind, a normal person is not going to find someone attractive after they realize that person is a falsified appearance of someone in their own gender. That doesnt make them a shitty person.

Why are you generalizing everyone in the entire world?

Newsflash: there is no such thing as a "normal" person.

Sure, instead of using a single word in widely used manner, I'll say "vast majority" then since you want to hang on the semantics.

If I were a storeowner, I'd always look for the best interests for my clients, my employees and my company. I would hire the applicant(s) who is perfect for the position. If that well qualified person were to be transgender, I'd hire him/her. With that in mind, I'd make sure I have a safe and respectful workplace not only for the transgender person, but also for my workforce in general. Also, I'd talk to the transgender applicant before the job to negotiate on some rules and terms, to see what can be changed and what should be enforced. So I would hire a transgender person as long as he/she meets the position requirements. And I would keep him/her employed if the performance is satisfactory.

Hire based upon most qualified, keep on the payroll based upon performance.

Being a transgender would not increase nor decrease his chances of getting the job if I were the boss,

Yeah, that was definitely the problem with your post.

That is hard to say. It depends where I live.

I'd make a commerical decision and if I felt that person would damage sales or alienate customers I wouldn't employ them. However if I owned a factory I'd have no problem employing such a person on the factory floor or in the office if I felt they were the best qualified and do the best work.
