He would: cut all safety net programs, impose tariffs that will destroy our ability to compete internationally, offend everyone not white plus ethnic whites, throw money at closing the border, cut taxes on the rich, pad his own pockets with government money, bailout his own companies, and after plunging america into a massive deficit he will borrow trillions of dollars, but don't worry folks he will save america when he he sues his creditors for a trillion plus infinite dollars.

China will only give up one-way free trade when they are coerced into doing so. They are making far too much money to ever give up this sweet racket voluntarily.  So you have to take an aggressive stance and just do a 25% tariff to make them change.  

Your only mention of why this tariff is bad is because this will create a "trade war".  You know what's funny about the concept of a trade war?  There is no actual historical precedent!  In fact, there has never been a significat trade war.  So your argument of why Donald Trump's idea is "retarded" is based off of nothing but you spouting nonesense.  So Trump's idea is a good one because it is an agressive stance that will cause China to change their ways.  I welcome you to go find another "trade war" to back up your "retarded" claim.

Actually, trade has been a HUGE factor in many world conflicts.  For example... ummmmmm... I don't know... The American Revolution. What was that about?  Taxes.  Britain taxed tea, americans boycotted etc.  The war of 1812 was about harbor usage issues.  The war of 1967 in the Middle East started over disputes over canals.  Then there were the opium wars in china, the conflict in Palestine,

If you want a purely economic one based on Tariffs, you could look at the Smoot Hawley act enacted during the great depression.  This tariff on foreign goods caused an incredibly steep decline in US Exports and greatly damaged US relations with other nations.  It's debated how damaging this was, but you'd be hard pressed to find any economist who suggests this was a good move.

There is a precedent for this BETWEEN THE US AND CHINA.  In 2009 US put taxes on Chinese tired, and they responded with tariffs on chicken and automobiles.

Countries trade tariffs to apply pressure on each other all the time.  There are tons of precedents for this.

You brought this up to show that Donald Trump's plan for Mexico made sense.  Then when I brought up that it conflicted with other policies, you tried to spin it off to a totally unrelated topic.  Your original argument was not "manufacturing in other countries is bad".  And even if it were, that would be completely irrelevant to the topic at hand, so I'm not sure why you would have brought it up.

Again, please provide another president that you would vote for that addresses the Mexico-USA border and their exact stance on the issue.

And again this argument is retarded.  Whether or not this is a good idea has nothing to do with what other ideas are out there.  If it's a stupid idea, it's a stupid idea. Before we compare it to other alternatives, we need to evaluate if the plan itself is helpful or harmful.   You only need to compare ideas if you have two ideas that each might be beneficial.  But, if one idea is stupid, you don't have to bother going through that whole process, cause it's a stupid thing to do, and you shouldn't do it in any scenario.

Trump wont win. One of Obama's flaws is his own belief that he is on a moral high-ground... and that isn't a way to engage opposition. Trump says he has never asked for forgiveness. Trump opinion of himself is so great, he burns everyone with his egotistic aura. How can he form a coalition in Congress to get anything done? Its not possible.

He has earned the scorn of Republicans and he is practically destroying their establishment. He wont win, but before he loses, he will tank the GOP.
