Xena was a lesbian icon.

Those Hercules and Xena shows were campy and fun to watch as a kid but damn if I can't watch more than a minute of them now on netflix.

Lawless still has the bod to be Xena :^)

(Fantasy) lesbian love turns most people on, male and female.

Knowing how things work, they'll cast some weak thin model as Xena. Do they really expect me to believe that she is a warrior? *cough* Wonder Woman *cough*

Another role that they should have just cast Lucy Lawless in.

Such a great show. Really wants the reboot rumors to be true.

Who should play Gabrielle?
...and what kind of hair should she have - personaly I like short hair.

Gonna be honest here. This is the most exciting tv/movie/game related news I've heard in my life. I'm not just a huge fan of Xena; the show has been a significant part of my life since 1996. I've bought all the dvds, action figures, calendars, trading cards, etc I could find. I even bought the two video games released on ps1 (which was awesome) and ps2 (this one was beyond terrible). Most importantly, whenever I find myself lifting weights or something that requires physical strength, nothing helps as much as thinking about Xena and the battle cry,

Anyway, I've been watching almost every show Lucy has been in and I think she's a pretty good actress and just amazing as Xena (gotta admit she wasn't a very good actress in the first season).

I hope Lucy and Renee are somehow part of the show, even as mentors of the new Xena.

I seriously can't wait!

Would a modern game look like The Witcher?

This and Hercules were basically my high school years. I kind of hope it happens but I'm worried it will tarnish my memories of the show.

That's in an understanable concern.

Unless they recast Lucy Lawless as Xena, then no.

I read a comment saying it would be great to have an even more mature Xena continuing the story.

It has been a long while since I saw the series and I may remember it wrong but it would seem difficult to continue the story after that ending. But then, Xena has supernatural elements so there's always something that they can come up with to return her again.

Plus, Lucy still looks very good. :D

Anyways, be what it may, my usual policy: as long as it ends up being good, I don't mind who is involved.

The series finale has as a really easy way out of the ending. The reason Xena had to stay dead was to attone for all the deaths she caused during the snow storm and the fire, at the villiage. The begining of the new series could easily just say the spirts forgave her. After 15 years of repenting. Then they could use Aphroditie to resurrect her. Since the Greek gods are dead. There's nothinge that will block Ahproditie in doing this. But a cost is her age is set to what it would be at present time. To justify her aging after being a ghost. This would be fine to allow her to be used whenever she could. I'd still want Kevin Sorbo And Mike Hurst to also come back as guests too.
