I hope they do; They were completely shrouded in mystery before the Nintendo Direct. If they go back to that, it will be excruciating and tough to find information on Nintendo products. If possible, I think that the president of each Nintendo region should be in charge of the directs. Reggie for NOA, Miyamoto for Japan, and Tabata for EU. I believe that AU is the same region as AU, so that might be difficult, unless its translated. Either way Nintendo needs to show that all regions are active.

Miyamoto isn't really guy to be charged for Nintendo Direct.

Well, thinking for a second, the Directs were introduced in their worst generation, so the new President could decide to ride off. Althought, the new President will likely share Iwata's ideas. I hope the return to live conferences like the one in September-October 2011 for 3DS.

Nintendo direct is one of the best things Nintendo done this gen and all Nintendo fans absolutely love it.  So ride of one of the best things this gen would very illogical, they needs ride off bad thing not very good things.

I see two things happening, either there going to be one really soon, like mid August or we have to wait a very long time like January

Yes, but it will be a while before we see one (September at the earliest is my guess).

In the directs we've had so far that haven't been hosted by Iwata, Morimoto of the PR department has been in charge of the Japan directs, Reggie/Bill have hosted the US ones, and Satoru Shibata has hosted the EU directs.

They absolutely will keep doing Directs. They're likely right now just in a holding pattern, working on things as normal, things that Iwata and the other management decided years and months ago. Many of which we probably won't find out about for months or years to come.

Nintendo Directs are extremely effective for Nintendo. They will absolutely keep doing them, until something comes along that works even better. I have no idea if that is possible, but nevertheless.

And who would present the conferences? Would Reggie and Trinnen have to do all the speaking since most of those japanese developers are not overly fluent in english? And who would take their spot in european presentations? Unless they want to get booed from stage (happened to some konami or capcom developer) because they where enthousiastly rambling uncoherent things, better keep this directs and digital events.

Lol, not much sense even if is the best thing Nintendo done this gen, all Nintendo fans absolutely love it, and Nintendo gives infos about new products and updates in very effective way!?
