and yet here we are with superman and goku which is exactly what they've been doing

superman went from stronger than a locamotive to bench pressing planets over the decades

goku went from power level 130somthing to 1000,000,000,000,000......... or OVER 9,0000! from dragonball to dragonball z

so yeah, they just hit a little harder every new story line or arc. 

Why do you sound like you're trying to contradict something out of my post?

You know, this is why I prefer Luffy to Goku. As a very long term deddicated DB fan, it came as a bit of a shock when I had to admit to myself that One Piece is the superior anime, and Luffy the superior main character. He wins and loses based on his own abilities most of the times, no bullshit added, no lucky saves, no magic beans, no friends pulling him out of the fire and then giving credit to him. 

Luffy vs Crocodile: 1-2, but damn he owned that last fight. 

Luffy vs Lucci: all out brawl, no bullshit, no friends deflecting any punches, no nothing. Sure, he's empowered by their cheering, but nobody gives him an actual hand.

So it's gotten weird for me why people are so in love with Goku as some supreme god of fighting. He rarely wins fights. Since DB he's learned just a few new tricks, and the more he trains, the more he stays the same. His main method of fighting is "Move fast, punch stuff, throw energy ball". For the greatest fighter ever that needs to be put up against Superman...Goku is simply boring. 

True, but i doubt he would lose. Goku loves fighting. As long as he is alive he will keep fighting and Superman won't kill him. Either Superman gives in eventually or Goku kills him. It also will depend a lot on what they are fighting about. They could just get bored after a while and call it a draw.

Superman in normal form is a casual solar system buster.

Thia would be assuming that neither would be able to kill the other one until this becomes the solution. They are not equal in fighting ability, Superman is better. Speed, strength, and intelligence are all in favor of Superman, I doubt Goku could survive.

There is no conceivable reason that I can think of for Superman to not be able to just lobotomize Goku through his eyes, anytime he wants to. He doesn't need ten minutes to charge up his laser vision, he just fires it withing range.

It's amusing how DBZ fans really believe Goku could survive Superman.
