It wasnt just black friday though. They really underestimate Microsofts ability to gain hype in America. I believe Microsoft won both November and December with cheaper Xbox Ones. This year they will have cheaper Xbox Ones and Halo 4 launches along with Tomb Raider.

Sony didn't understand that the Holidays are about lower prices and better deals.

 They understand they are in a power position. When Sony is winning then have the ability to stand their ground strategically and this is why its so important that Microsoft creates deals, because Sony doesn't have to do anything and the PS4 will still sell very, very well. This year is one Microsoft needs because Halo is going to cause quite a few people to buy Xboxes. Don't be surprised if  more than three million Xboxes fly off the shelves durig fourth quarter (starting with the end of october).

Can someone link where Sony bragged about being top seller on Amazon during black friday, because I remember a 3rd party being the one that actually said it.

I double checked Sony's NPD response for black friday and didn't see it.

Can you find a different source, because that's not what is quoted on neogaf, and that source is blacklisted on other sites for a reason.

I found another source quoting them. Either way, it's silly to even mention it when you are still the cumulative leader. It's even more silly that people have to bring up something in 2014 to justify current statements.

Well I see the NPD responses on Neogaf. I see that Amazon themselves says PS4 was the top seller. Looks like a nutiously bad site spliced it all together.
