Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Will Iwata's death delay Star Fox Zero?

I would like them to actually delay the game if it allows them to add different controls schemes, multiplayers mode including online and maybe alos improve the visuals (althought they might be doing this already since the non playable desert level looked great!).

Same, as it is it's just Starfox 64, which is by no means a bad thing, but I was expecting more than just that.

Plus a control scheme where you aim with the wii-mote and control with the nunchuk would be amazing!!! A bit like Sin and Punishment 2 if I remember correctly. This actually makes me wonder why they are not getting some help from treasure for the development. Those guys have more than shown their AAA skills with shooters.

No. Miyamoto already overseas countless Nintendo games. Him having an extra position now won't change release dates.

No I don't think so.

And all of you that want multiplayer, Miyamoto said that they would add it if they see a lot of people playing and getting good at the game, so kind of like a similar case with splatoon with Ranked Mode, except that this would be done after the game release.

Don't think so

Don't think so. Maybe delaying Pokemon Z. /jk

Dont think so.

Sound unlikely

I don't think so, with its launch being so close I assume Miyamoto can find someone else to take over and finish the game as it seems mostly completed already.

I honestly don't even think Miyamoto is as hands on that project as he would be back in the day when he was more developer then executive. From all intents purposes his biggest contribution is being upper management and either coming up with or approving the addition of the Gamepad mechanics like the cinematic TV screen view and cockpit for the gamepad or the gyrowing with the remote control robot.

His increased responsibility won't and moving away from development won't hurt the game, heck it might even allow some of the developers to make it a more challenging and traditional experience.
