October for sure, November and December will be hard with Call of Duty and Battlefront.

Depend on the BlackFriday deals.

CoD and Battlefront vs Fallout 4 and Tomb Raider. That's fine with me.

Tomb Raider is likely going to be a non factor this November. Fallout is currently (on Amazon.com) selling more on PS4 and has been since its reveal, CoD is the other way around, time will tell what bundles will do to change that.

The holidays in he US this year will come down to how much prices will be cut (especially by Sony), outside of Halo 5 the exclusives will be largely irrelevant.

BF: Hardline has been selling more on PS4 @ Amazon.com nearly the whole time, but lost in npd

march
ps4 #24
xb1 #43

april
ps4 #20
xb1 #32

http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2015-04/videogames/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_bsar#2

the NPD result is this:

march

xb1: 43% ps4:40%

april
xb1 > ps4

amazon is not representive, when it comes to overall us software sales and rankings
amazon software is always skrewd towards ps4 (prolly more ps4 user shop at amazon and xb1 user at gamestop and walmart

edit: wow this site sucks at formatting badly

One example is not enough to completely disregard Amazon as an indicator, there have been many cases where Amazon has been right as well for example for games like the Witcher 3 or MKX. I'm not saying it's 100% accurate but it's an indicator worth not ignoring.

Besides the Fallout 4 situation looks the same at Gamestop and Walmart:

Think some people are revising history a bit in regards to judging the gap. Xbox released a new sku, had their deal for a week where you could get any game for free with a console purchase, and announced bc, which apparently is a 'gamechanger' for some.

As for the holiday games, in terms of quality Fallout 4 & Tomb Raider may be greater than Cod and Battlefront, but in terms of what are the bigger games and which will move hardware, it isn't even close. It's Call of Duty and Star Wars, only thing that could beat that is a GTA with something else.

wouldn't suprise me, if fallout will outsell battelfront
the hype is real for fallout. not so much for battelfront

but maybe this is just the hardcore, vocal internet gamer audience.
not sure what the casual and mainstram audience will do and buy. could favour battelfront easily

Nah from the sales of Fallout 3 and New Vegas its a big seller. Hardcore does big numbers.

sure. fallout is not niche
if this game would make a jump like wither 2 - witcher 3, it will sell gangbusters

5m+ until end of 2015 would be my lowest guess
but didn't ea aim for 8m+ frist year for battelfront?

PS4 being up 100k from last June despite no price change is quite good

Sony made the best deal because of Star Wars. This will be huge end of the year.

Great month for PS4 & XB1. Nice to see hem doing well.

Shame Splatoon isn't giving WiiU a bit more gas, another game selling lots but to existing owners?

Bit disappointed we don't get a wider spread of numbers these days though. J-Stars is something, I suppose (seems a bit low actually).

Minecraft still beasting as usually.

Proud to be a Californian.

Oh boy, Microsoft is talking about E3 nominations and awards:

Ha ha ha.

Hahahaha there talking like sales dont matter to them anymore all of a sudden XD.

And there's posts like these that show the arrogance and ignorance of some in this community. I find it hilarious they threw it right back in your face with the 297k.

When you see people talking about 80-200k gaps less than a day ago its not much revising needed by calling out when its lower.

Not really on topic but there was a thread on r/xboxone on that tweet, most people realize that E3 awards are kind of pointless but someone had to make this comment:

"It's hard to be objective anymore, but I felt like MS still had a much better showing than Sony. Speaking strictly to their games lineup, I felt like Sony wasted so much time showing boring, uncut gameplay--I'm looking at you The Last Guardian and No Man's Sky. Hell, Horizon or whatever it's called seems like a really cool concept, but I would've liked to see more of it as a complete game instead of the uncut gameplay.

Now I've got nothing against uncut gameplay, but I don't think it belongs at these conferences unless it's a high profile game that's going to blow away the crowd (for example, Uncharted 4, Gears 4, and Halo 5)."

https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/3dk4yj/this_e3_both_xbox_and_halo_received_more/ct62ztt

The lengths some people go through to shit on press conferences from the companies they don't like is just astounding some times.
