Well, any critique upon such outlandish stories of future tales?  Or what's the point of going "Or nah" on a thread site where most people are expected to say something?

You think Reggie needs to know how to program and draw?  You saw his game in smash, didn't you?  What was he going to do, pitch game ideas?  Is that his job?  Nintendo isn't like, "hey guys, because you work at nintendo, we would like you to play games a lot.  Here's a 3DS.  Fill up your puzzle pieces or get fired."

No, Reggie is capable.  He was the guy that came up with that 555 deal on Dominoes.  They did gangbusters at became a prominent name again.  He runs businesses.  Please, tell me why he wouldn't be fit.

You do realize Iwata was made CEO of NoA in 2013, right? Reggie is just President and COO of NoA.

Na, that was never his role.  He was better left to himself over seeing projects.  He has the ultimate job, why leave it for a desk and deal with investors about numbers and figures.  Dude would just rather play New Nintendo games all day long.  Common, that would be the dream job.  He's going to give it to a more number savy person.  Iwata trusted Reggie to tackle America, remember when that meants something?  President of Nintendo of America.  We are no small market.  America is a huge market with a long history that spans almost 30 years.  

Okay, so you're telling me that Reggie is the President of something of America, right?  Or are there like 3 President of something of America and Reggie is one of them?  "Just one of us lackies with a title of President, waiting to be told your next bidding, Nintendo man."  You know what I mean? 

You can compare Reggie to the Vice-President of the USA yes.

Oh God, I hope not. Not because Reggie is american, that has nothing to do with it, but I don't really like the guy. Where Iwata always appeared sincere and genuinely enthusiastic about gaming, Reggie seems to be all about promotion and bullshit cororparate talk. Yes, he will dress up funny, and talk about having a little fun, but it seems like a facade to me. Also Iwata himself said it best, he was a gamer, a game developer, he loved what he was doing. Reggie is a businessman, plain and simple. Nothing illustrated that better than his smash performance at NC, I don't even play smash and even I could see Reggie doesn't either, he will do it though, for PRs sake.

Lastly and this is a little unfortiunate, but I don't think a traditionally japanese company is going to allow a foreigner at it's helm. Most of their game developement is centered in Japan, so is the majority of their business. Whoever is going to be their new president would have to be able to speak japanese and live in the country. Nintendo places a lot of priority on their home market and that's not about to change.
Add to that the unfortionate rumors of internalized racism against westerners that have recently surfaced about nintendo and you have a more than unlikely candidate in Reggie. No, there is no law stating an American can't helm the company, but I don't think it's going to happen.

For the record I don't think Myamoto is really suited either, I think he want's to keep his freedom to create games.
Whoever is going to be their new President, I hope it's going to be someone with a similar backround to Iwatas. We have enough gaming companies run by businessmen.

I hope that whoever is the next CEO understands Iwata's vision for the company and respects it while at the same time giving the wake up call Nintendo has needed for a while.
