I said Western, not American or US alone. It doesn't have to be an American President. It could be a European or African President for all I care. I'm just saying that there future is in the west, not in declining Japan, so they need to embrace it and not constantly stick to making games that sell decently in Japan (a small market) and then bombing globally (a much larger market).

I se what you mean. But, it doesnt mean that is the direction they want to go in. It may be they are very happy in doing mobile stuff in Japan only and ignore the rest of the western market trends. Afterall, its very difficult to disrupt the current duopoly we got. It requires alot of investment and risk.
Anyways, the point is, there are many things they can do. They dont necessarely need to follow what Sony and MS are doing.

which would be depressing for us gamers, where we want home consoles with Nintendo IPs.
anyway back on topic, i would think a Japanese would be most likely the next CEO. Miyamoto, Sakurai or Shibata. the main requirement would be, he shares the same vision as the previous predecessors and they know what to do to add more Nintendo gamers in the western market. it could be risky, but i think they'll do something about it. they knew sales in Japan isn't that great and they need other markets too.
Morimoto was mentioned, he is someone who has a high position in the Pokemon division. he may be pushed to a higher role and be part of that Nintendo bigs.
