It's not so simple as adding them up. Many of the early wii u adopters were Nintendo fans and probably already had a 3ds upon buying the wii u. Basically, 4 million people won't need to seperate their purchase and the NX will do 16 million still (assuming a home console sells as well as a handheld which is unlikely). Both systems actually had decent third party support during launch, something I don't see the NX launching with given the wii u's third party situation.
