This video made me sad again, but it also put a smile on my face. Which makes it a great tribute video. He brought a lot of fun to game announcements.

NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, WiiU, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, Mega Drive, Game Gear, PS1, PS2, PSP, XBOX 360, Atari Lynx

Oh my, I never saw this until now.

I'm sad for mister Iwata, I liked him as president and as a person. Seeing someone else at the helm of Nintendo will take some getting used to. Speaking as a gamer, mister Iwata, you will be missed, but never forgotten. My thoughts are with you, your family and friends, and Nintendo.

Goodbye, and be at peace .

EDIT: Great IGN tribute.

Today at work we were given the day off to play Nintendo games while various interviews of iwata over the years played on the main screen, was a nice way to let us pay our respects.

As a way to pay my own respects on these forums, anyone even remotely trolling or making snide comments, ANYWHERE on this forum regarding Iwata, even "jokingly", will earn themselves a 7 day ban, regardless of how much trouble I get in to for doing so.

That's really cool of Sony. What Nintendo game did you play? :)

I shall post my thoughts and sympathies for Nintendo, for Miyamoto, and Iwata.

Please don't change too much from here on out Nintendo.

PS- You guys will know ive had that Satoru Iwata quote in my sig for years.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

NeoGAF mods just banned a whole group of people, you can read it here https://archive.is/UFix5 its a saved archived link because they deleted all the evidence not long after (starts at post #10558)

Basically people suggested that they replace the gay pride home logo with a Iwata tribute instead as the pride logo has been up for awhile now. Instead they are all met with swift bans and deletion

Neogaf mods suck, you get banned for such trivial things there.

RIP
