Forums - Gaming Discussion - Batman Arkham Knight Was a Letdown.

I completely agree, the Batmobile becomes the big issue imo it's just so repetitive shooting tank after tank after tank. No real boss battles after the amazing ones from Origins (it's highlight). Why fight the titular charcater in a tank and not fist against fist. Is annoying. Batmobile aside and one that I can say (that person literally popping up everywhere is overused as well), I really liked the story over all and non BM gameplay.
8 out of 10.

Loved it, couldn't stop playing it. To compare I'm fed up with TW3 about 10 hours in, I just find i dull. And full of fetch quests which is ironic.

I thought the boss fights were ok but easy, although I was playing on easy difficulty.

I enjoyed the psychological elements to it. Combat is unrivalled. beautiful visually, with a familiar artstyle to previous games but more impressive.

Slightly annoyed you have to 100% it to see the ending but it makes sense why.

10/10.

My opinion obviously.

The parts where it played with your mind were the best! Had a lot of "Oh, shit!" moments with this one.  I can respect your opinion.  Hell, a week ago, I had the same opinion.

I still think it´s a good game, but yes I agree with you it´s a letdown, I found the forced batmobile sections, especially the ones where you battle those cobra tanks, a bore...and too many "Ubisoft style side missions" scattered all over the map, which to me is one of the most boring things an open world game can have, and sadly it´s all too common.

So, you changed you opinion?

I think that I won't get it because the Freeflow Combat really got old for me after AA and AC and because the PC port is messed up. Maybe when it's very cheap and fixed.

And yet you see the game with incredibly high scores everywhere, all open world games with good graphics are way overrated by the critics, specially rocksteady ones.

That's an odd way to single things out. Personally i'd go with the opposite. What you say is definitely true, except for Batman Arkham games (though it is kinda happening with this one).

Also, good thing Xenoblade doesn't have good graphics. Saved from overratedness!

Yup, like Fallout 4.

Whatever score those games get, we´ll know is not because graphic achievements.

I'm a few hours into the story and Im not really impressed. The car related stuff has gone from interesting to tedious already. The gameplay outside of that is basically just like the previous games. I was hoping this game would feel more fresh then it does.

Im gonna keep playing and hope it gets better.

I really loved it. I knew it would be more of the same so I just played for the story. There were weak points in it but it was very good. The car parts were tedious and rather boring after awhile but I did like riding around in it. I also agree with you on the foes. I have a couple of more achievements left. After that I probably won't play it again. Don't know if I'll play the DLC.

I haven't finished the game yet. I played Assylum and liked it, but didn't love it. I skipped City and Origins and have now picked this up. I much prefer the tightness of Assylum, but this is still a good game.
