Forums - Sony Discussion - So I just played TLOU for the first time..

I owned a PS3 but never purchased it,

so 3 days ago i finally got TLOU:R on PS4, with is being the most awarded game in history I thought this better blow my mind, I came in with huge expectations...  AND IT DESTROYED THEM ALL.

Holy shit, what a fucking game, I know I'm late to the party but DAMN.

The gameplay was absolutely on point, I have no idea what people are talking about when they say 'it's a great movie, gameplay is lacking' the gameplay was fantastic, the controls were solid, the camera work was fantastic the stealth was great and felt awesome. The Ellie winter gameplay section was fantastic with Nolan North's character, the work with the bow and arrow actually had me more hyped for Horizon funny enough.

I'm completely with Joel at the end there's no way I would give Ellie up, although it would be for the better of humanity but Naughty Dog did a great job at making me feel Paternal for Ellie everytime someone was on her or attacking her I lost my shit and blew their face off.

Welcome to the club.
The big big club.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It's a fantastic game. It really deserved the success.

Remind me when i discovered the game 6 months after it's release i believe, i was curious to know what was so good in this game and what a crazy expérience, i rarely felt that in a game, so immersive, i dont know how they achieved that but i hope they'll do it again even if i dont believe it's possible to make an other TLOU of the same quality, was too perfect

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

It's truly a masterpiece. I'm glad you enjoyed it

I bought a PS4 TLOU bundle a couple months ago, installed the game day one, and have yet to boot it up. I guess I probably should at some point.

I'm reeeally looking forward to giving it a go whenever I finally get a PS4.

Haha, I had pretty much the same reaction to it. I got it a few weeks after the PS4 release hit (found it for £25 in a shop and couldn't resist!). I don't know what I was expecting, but I usually see "ZOMG GOTY MUST PLAY!" and expect the game to be a disappointment. TLOU definitely bucked this trend. So much better put together than I really expected.

I'd put it up there as one of my favourite games of all time now. I actually feel guilty for not buying it on PS3 now haha.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Welcome to the club and congratulations, great achievement

At first, i thought it would just be an other zombie game with Uncharted gameplay
