Nadal is nowhere close to being one of the greatest ever. He is the best clay player of all time though, of that there is no doubt. Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, Björn Borg are all players that I would rank higher than Nadal or Djokovic and I wouldn't say Djokovic is even in the top ten of all time. Federer though, he is in another league all together :).

I have to disagree there. Djokovic, in 2013 I believe, broke records for breakfast. He's still young and has won so many times in so many tournaments, he has a great future ahead of himself. Although, he might have wasted the opportunity to get Roland Garros this year, with Nadal going bad and down so far, he only needs RG to be in the Top 5 of history IMO.

OT: Of course, Federer. No question. But I'm more interested in what comes from the new players. Nishikori may put the Asian players on the radar, Raonic is my new favorite too. I also wonder if another American will reign again, and whatever happened to the face of South America Del Potro

Oh, I also wanna say that Wawrinka is the best not #1. I think he's a bigger inspiration than Federer... Always in his shadow, but still trying and succeeding!

(As you can see, I only know about modern-era of tennis )

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I don't know about the old days, but of past 30 years Sampras and Federer are the big two who dominated.

Federer is the best of all time, by quite a distance.

Federer without a doubt.

In his prime, he was out of anyone's league and even now, he's still an amazing tennis player. And I didn't even know he beat Murray today before reading this thread.

If Federer wins against Djokovic (that is a big IF), I believe he will take the US Open as well. And for those saying the ladies wouldn't stand a chance against the men: Yeah, I know that but I was referring to the title of the thread, otherwise I would say that it is relevant to also rank the best female players of all time

Djokovic is one of my absolute favorites, but I need to be realistic and see that he is great, just mot amazing. To become amazing and a true legend, consistency and fantastic results at GS tournaments must go hand in hand. He has had much of that, just not at a level to become a legend. Yet :).
