If you like open world WRPGs, Xenoblade Chronicles X is a mix of JPRG and WPRG elements.

If you've never played a Wii game, you must get Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. Remember every Wii game will play too. DK country Returns is good too. Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess will keep you busy for a month each. Actually any Mario, DK or Zelda game are winners. Well maybe not all the spinoff type sports games[except a couple of the Mario's] which are not all that. Ever try a WiiFit board? And get a pro controller or Wii classic from Craigslist if $ starts to be a issue. I just got a WiiU beginning of May and have only gotten through 3DWorld and near the end of Tropical Freeze now. Damn good hard games! Good times await...

I strongly recommend Splatoon and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

They're great games, and probably my favorite from this generation.
