Forums - Sony Discussion - Its Time. Sony will put GEN 7 out of its misery this fall.

I think that people that live on first world countries like OP simply can't understand that a PS4 is too expensive in developing markets. It doesn't matter if it is 200 dollars in the US, that's too expensive here.

PS+ is definitely worth it whether you play online or not. It basically pays itself back with all of those free games within 2 months.

I disagree.

Its not cause they give acess to some random games temporarely (mostly indies) that i'm suddenly going to want to play them. I know it sounds crazy, but i buy the games i want to play. So, at best they offer lots of stuff i'm not very interested in.

Its funny how quickly people jump in agreement when the word "free" is dropped. They arent free, they are rentals. When you stop paying you stop having acess to them.

Yeah they can be pretty random, but there is still quality among them. Infamous: First Light, Apotheon, Rocket League, Guacamelee, Injustice & Transistor for example. And the cool thing is that it you get these games for every Sony console that uses PSN. You also get discounts from some AAA games and expansion packs and these are not rental.

You are right they are "rental", but usually you can't rent games for more than 1-2 weeks at a time, and it is basically the cheapest rental I've ever used with under 5 euros a month for 5-6 games. That's cheaper than my internet connection which is quite cheap as well with 10 euros a month.

Believe me I was skeptical at first, but then I thought "Infamous: First Light is 25 euros now, I can either spend that money on it or buy a year of PSN+ subscription, get it for free and get other games as a bonus."

It's not a bad deal and a great way to support indie games. I dare you to try it
