Rocket league is fucking awesome.
But wasn't there a game very similar that came out in like 2008? Like super acrobatic cars or something like that.

Players going at high speeds, occasionally blowing people up is one of the main draws. The sheer triumph of jumping and flipping the ball into the goal is matched by the sheer stupidity of jumping and missing all-together. And if you're coordinated enough, you can make your car fly. Have you ever seen a rocket-powered car fly though the air at high speeds? It's quite the site.
Overall it's a game with high emotion, on both spectrums. There's rarely a dull moment when in a match, it's either happiness or frustration.
On another note, why has no major gaming news site made mention of Rocket League? There are next to no reviews for the game, what are reviewers doing? There can't be that many significant games next week. Trials Fusion: Awesome Level Max, Rory McElroy PGA Tour, Godzilla, GoW3 Remastered, Deception IV: Nightmare Princess, Godzilla, Tachyon Project, and Guild of Dungeoneering are all next week. The only ones that would be worth reviewing are the last three, since users already have an idea of what the other games will be (maybe Awesome Level Max will , but it is DLC so it probably won't be reviewed by many outlets). IDK, I still think Rocket League is getting a little snubbed...

This is technically a sequel to that game, it's made by the same guys.
