GT6 runs on 1080i on 60fps...on PS3. It looks as good as it possibly can.

Just a fix... it is 1080p (progressive scan)... 1440x1080p.

A couple of things here.

2. Racing game enviornments almost always look bad, do we need to take another look at the crowds from FM5?

Indeed. Also with dynamic weather and dynamic lightning. Something that will still be missing even in FM6:

The environment lighting in Forza's series is baked that makes the implementation of weather and night too hard because they needs to recreate all the assets to the track to shows them.

That is a issue to don't have a dynamic system... that is why only a few selection of tracks will have them too.

I personally think that PD struggled with PS3 development. It was a complicated machine even for the best developers. Also the 512mb split ram didn't help either. I think people are gonna be genuinely shocked what PD can achieve with PS4 and it's ease of development and 8gb ram.

The question will be how long will it take? At the end of this year we will have two Forza games(three if you kind Horizon) on Xbox One but a new GT game hasn't even been announced yet. It took 4 years after launch for GT5 to release, i think the next GT game will match or even surpass that. So 2017? 2018? Even later maybe?

It is confirmed to be out before 2017.

Mostly because of its standard cars the models are from ps1 era
The genre went downhill after the masterpiece gt3
