Forums - Sales Discussion - Hardware numbers 27th June

Nobody noticed Vita going from 10,5M to 12,1M ?

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

It's a multi-platform title...Did people really expect a 300,000+ week in the middle of the year with a multiplatform title(marketing and bundle factored in)?

Destiny had a huge impact on sales. Plus Watchdogs was new IP whereas Batman is an established one which sells well.

While it's not a great comparison, when Arkham City came out, the PS3 sound 243k units, almost the exact same number of PS4 units. Arkham City was, however, released in mid-October.

Again, since there's so many differing factors, it's not a particularly great comparison, but I still don't think Arkham Knight was especially underwhelming or overwhelming in the boost in provided to console sales.

Us hardware doesn't make sense. So after completely selling out the special addition silver console (for like 3 months in a row), On top of another bundle that was the number one for the month, Sony only managed to sell 20k more than the Xbox One? Were the silver Batman's even taken into account.

My instinct tells me something is off here.

Were there any adjustments down? Minor but I think last time i checked XB1 was 1.7(xx)M in the UK and 27th numbers put it at 1.6(xx)

Yes there was.  I noticed it for PS4 though.

Vita > WiiU despite Splatoon? How amazing.

PS4 dominating the rest so much... dat post-E3 effect.

Those numbers are so wrong that is not even funny like one time...

Well, when you make such a statement you should at least back it up with some proves.

Anyway, VGchartz makes estimations and I think the margin of error is around 10%, so we always have to take the numbers with a grain of salt.

What released on the Vita this week to give it a boost over 50k?

Persona 4: Dancing All Night in Japan.

I just looked at the chart again, and that seems to be right. Japan sales count for almost half of the Vita sales this week!
