Forums - Gaming Discussion - Angry Joe rated Batman Arkham Knight with 6/10

I think most of his points are spot on, aside from a few things he misjudged or misinterpreted. My brother has played all 4 and while he likes AK a lot it, even he admits it's not as good as the AS or AC. I think a 6 is a bit low, a 7 sounds more like it.

Isnt he just jumping on the hate bandwagon? because of the pc versions issues?

He clearly shows though why it deserves 6-4/10.

Am i the only one who likes this game? :(

It's an excellent game, with some of the highest production qualities you will find anywhere. I've seen an equal amount of complaining that "there's too much bat mobile" and "the design is played out." Well, you can't have it both ways, and I respect the innovation. Any Batman fan who says, "we never wanted the bat mobile; we never asked for it" should punch him/herself square in the face. EVERY Batman fan wanted to drive the batmobile, and it's integrated fairly well. Is it used too often? Possibly, but not to the point of overkill. Do its controls lack intuitiveness? Yes. Are they terrible? No, but they will frustrate you when you NEED precision for AR challenges.

Personally, my biggest gripes were with the audio mixing (It seems terribly balanced.), the complete lack of tutorials (It's been long time, Arkham Origins, and these challenges require a million combos.), and the randomness of AR challenges (No, please feel free to give me no time and random enemy placement.). Overall, the effort put into making the game is evident, and the result is fantastic. It could have been done better, though.

Horrible story, Batmobile missions shoehorned into everything. The bloody thing doesn't even control that well or feels good to drive around. A very annoying imaginary friend that just won't shup up the entire game.

4 seems about right.

I am playing Arkham city for the first time right now and I am actually fairly shocked by how clumsy the controls are and that I have never heard anyone address the issues with them.

I am not gonna defend WB, because they have been a terrible publisher with both MKX and Batman, but i have stopped respecting Joe as a reviewer a long time ago. He is not a very good gamer, and he doesnt go in depth enough to have a clue about what he is saying. He is representative of the most average clueless gamee there is. None of us in the internet, that read these forums and watch these reviews are the audience he is reflecting.
The same goes to totalbiscuit. These guys sit there and tell games "now, impress me", and that is not the atitude with wich you review or play games.

I don't think it's a hate bandwagon of its justified.

The lack of boss fights, the cop-out identity of the Arkham Knight and locking the ending behind riddler trophies makes this the worst batman game from the Arkham series. Arkham Knight wasn't the Magnus Opus as much as it was a gigantic dump on the gaming community.

It´s an extremely overrated blockbuster, like so many other blockbusters specially last generation.

Jim Sterling gave it a 6/10 too btw.

I must agree with this verdict. Although I gave game a lot of time, I couldn't convinced myself to this title.
Not how Batman video game series should end...
