A lot of signs seem to point this way. Nintendo took a poor selling console in GameCube and repackaged it as the Wii (basically) before. Would you be angry if NX is basically about as powerful as a Wii U, but has the functionality of a portable while also being able to stream to the TV and act as a porta-console?

Maybe throw in a new controller gimmick on top of that? 

Would this be a deal breaker for you or would you get over it? On one hand it wouldn't be very powerful as a home console, but the Wii U still has pretty decent visuals. On the other hand it would be pretty powerful for a portable. 

As long as that allows Nintendo to increase their software output and brings 3rd parties (even if they are handheld/mobile games) and it's affordable, I'll buy it. Even if it's just to play Pokemon. I can get the big 3rd parties on my PC.

I'll be moderately disappointed but not surprised. Still, I have to reserve judgement until I see it.

If it's that handheld console hybrid and they did indeed change/upgrade enough to entice some 3rd party Devs back then it could still be worth it. We really can't know yet.

The Gamecube-Wii scenario was different because Nintendo realized that they couldn't compete with Sony and MSoft in equal conditions, so they choose another route and went from having a powerful console to a weak console with a new control scheme. The problem with WiiU is that it is already a weak console, so launching a successor that is only a little better will automatically make it obsolete for any home console consumer.

Basically, that device won't attract new consumer from the Sony/MSoft crowd so their only target consumers will basically be the existing Nintendo ones. And that's an ever decreasing group.

Depends on what features they innovate with. I enjoyed the wii for 3 years or so....

The fusion concept is smart from a software perspective and them garnering a strong userbase on their console but what does offer the user? Portability is not an innovate or gameplay improving gimmick.

I believe joining the power arms race for the small chance to get multiplat's (which are not hardware drivers for Nin h-consoles) is suicidal for Nintendo. If third parties don't jump in, all your left is an overpriced console with just nintendo games, very much like the Wii U

Nintendo should focus on hardware that is very easy to develop and start funding 3rd party exclusives and invest in new studios, hopefully with all that mobile money.

Well if it's a handheld than no but if its a console then I will be very disappointed cause at least with the wii, u had that motion control gimmick which seemed amazing at the time but with the nx, doesn't seem to have anything like that if the rumors are true. So the next games will look virtually the same as the wiiu which will make me be very disappointed cause what's the point in even buying the next console if it doesn't do anything that care worthy or have noticablly better graphics. At least the wii introduced widescreen for Nintendo system so at the very least, it was something

I would like it to be more However if I'm able to game on the go with a little better graphics than the Wii U, I will be happy with that. However it depends on the design. I really have to see it and play it. can't really make a judgment at this point.

If it's portable it changes the whole game as far as graphics go but they need to get it right. not sure how they are going to pull it off.

Angry ? not at all, but probably won't buy this, i really need to see good AA in game now and full HD with my TV.

I even prefere play rpg on vita than 3DS because of this.
