I am salary base pay. Work anywhere from 50-60 hours per week, but I only get paid for 40 hours, no overtime. Make more than the average joe my age, but all those hours do is break you the fuck down. Most days I feel like a 33 year old man going 80. It's modern salavery.

You know, I couldn't care less about how/why Warren avoids taxes, the rich shouldn't be able to get a near 0% tax rate regardless...

No one should be at 0% tax rate imo.  If everyone paid taxes even if only a small amount, we wouldn't have this ridiculous amount of national debt.

Well yes, I agree, no one should be able to attain 0%, but I only said rich people as those are the ones that are able to do that anyway.

At my job, I work 50 hour weeks on average, 60+ during crunch time. Since I'm salary, the amount of money I earn during those 60 hour weeks is the same as the 50 hour weeks. I haven't taken a vacation since February.

Meanwhile, in our German office, they are require to NOT exceed 40 hours a week, and they get the equivalent of 3 months vacation, as well as a ton of bank holidays. I swear, every time I need to talk to the ops guy in the German office, he's on a week long vacation.

Screw this guy and his warped notion that working longer hours = more productivity = more pay. From my understanding, research actually implies the opposite. Your productivity plummets when you exceed 40 hours and the diminishing returns don't make it worth it. But, hey, we're just salary, so it's not like the company has to foot the bill for the extra hours that are of low productivity. It's just gravy for them.

whre do you get 3 months off in germany? 30 days are normal(payed)+ 10ish holidays.   and they get alot more money for overtime or get free time.  ohh and you get a 13t salary at xmas.

No one will vote for him if says things like that. Workers in the USA are already more productive than the Western Europeans, and much more productive then the British, Canadians and Japanese.

What is a normal work week in the US?

In Holland it's between the 32 and 40 hours a week and 40 is most of the time the max you can work in a week if you have 1 job.

Normal work week in the US is 40 hours (or at least it was until businesses started forcing employees to work less than 40 so they could avoid paying for their healthcare).  However, working more than that is absolutely a norm.  At my old job I worked between 60-100 hours a week for about 4 years.

40 is the norm in us. Gotta love that time and a half overtime though. Most I've worked in a week was 106hrs. Paycheck was glorious and got a paid week off with bonus after that week. Just depends on who you work for. Time and a half pay is very nice and has many financial benefits. People do need to work more if they want more money or change jobs to the best pay with what skill they have. I know some union workers that are over paid and under worked.

Talk about a guy being on the wrong side compared to the rest of the world :).

He's just trying to blame poverty on laziness. He is an elitest piece of shit. Also if working more hours made your country richer Greece would be bailing out Germany.

How about you increase taxes for the rich first? Lol. Warren Buffet himself once found out that he paid a (substantially) smaller tax than his secretary (percentage wise of course). How?

Earned income is taxed differently than capital gains are.
