I'm just going to say it. He lost with this comment.

The US already works more hours than many counties with less vacation pay.

Politicians are actors. They play whatever role is needed to give them the best shot at retaining/gaining power and money. He is officially a republican. That means, he must say whatever republican voters want to hear.

How about you increase taxes for the rich first? Lol. Warren Buffet himself once found out that he paid a (substantially) smaller tax than his secretary (percentage wise of course). How?

Right, work more hours so you can take more taxes out of us, why should the american people work longer hours and pay more into the corrupt elitst system that put us in this mess in the first place. Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same coin, might as well join together under one symbol you know combine the elephant and donkey and it would become the Dumbass, because thats what they all are........... dumbasses.

People are already overworked. Maybe if people actually worked a decent schedule, made decent money, and had actual time off then people would be happier.

So, increase the unemployment rate even more by having everyone work longer hours? Sounds like a brilliant idea, the extra taxes can cover the cost of the unemployed citizens.
Great job, Jed, you're a man for the future.

They "his team" argued that after the fact. You can watch the interview itself.

because he hired the best tax lawyers he could, to find any and all tax deductions, and "loopholes" he could, and because his secretary is aparently retarded and doesnt know how to file taxes. oh, and because buffet is a lying hypocrit, who could pay a much higher tax if he wanted to, like he claims, and in fact can pay extra to the irs (the amount he claims is fair, yet doesnt do)

anyway on topic, i work 12-15 hour days, and usually weekends to on the norm, being a v-22 crewchief/mechanic. i dont want to work more.

What is a normal work week in the US?

In Holland it's between the 32 and 40 hours a week and 40 is most of the time the max you can work in a week if you have 1 job.
