Usually don't use metacritics for deciding on purchases and stick with my own judgement.

Lost track of how many games I've bought this gen but I'd say the average is around 80-85ish

Least favorite: I would say The Wonderful 101, but I only played it once so it would be unfair (I really need to play this game though... sigh.). So, Pikmin 3, I guess... or Super Mario 3D World.

I wouldn't say this is too accurate, nah. On both systems, my second favorite game has a rather low score (Star Fox on the 3DS and DKC on the Wii U), and the top scoring games in each are among my least favorites. Specifically, the 4 Zelda titles are almost in a perfect reverse order of scores, the exception being A Link Between Worlds.

Thanks for going the extra mile! Looks like we have similar gaming tastes with the exception that I'm not really a Smash fan.
Although I did like Pikmin 3 and Super Mario 3D World.

86 average, I'd say based solely on the above listed games meta does align with my tastes.

Metacritic tends to rate my favorite franchises in the wrong order. For instance I like Uncharted 3 more than 2 and Resistance 3 is WAY better than the other 2 games in the franchise yet it is rated lower. Also I love the Order 1886 so you see how this gen is going lol

nope i don't really care for review scores since i think they're mostly pointless and would rather know the actual pro's and con's of a game to see if its for me.

Usually..

I've never liked a game that's had a meta of under 60. But I've loved some 65-75 games. I don't really care for the super high scoring indies and the AAA I know if I'll like from what I see, but unless the metacritic is below 60 I wont buy it. If higher I'll give it a try for cheap, but some of my favourite games are 60's and 70's.



There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

I think it aligns with my tastes to a degree as my 5 favourite games of all time are rated 95, 92, 94, 94 and 96. On the flip side, there are several highly rated games where i find myself puzzled as to why they are so highly rated.

I actually think that GOTY awards are a lot worse in comparison.
