Uncharted 4 got 3 awards, but lost to Fallout to game of show? Maybe 'cause it was already teased there last year?

Well, it sure should have been FF7R though, if teasers do count, 'cause nothing came close to it in popularity, just go check how much YT views the thing have.

Pretty sure gameplay has to be shown to be eligible.

Several things wrong on that list. For instance No Man's Sky over Firewatch for Best Indie? Need For Speed over Forza 6 for Best Racing game? Star Wars Battlefront over Halo 5 for best multiplayer? *sigh*

I agree with Best of Show, Best Original Game, Best PC Game, and Best RPG though.

Agree 100%

Fallout 4 is not deserving of best of show to me and it really has to do with quality. Bethesda products are unfinished, have endless bugs, poor writing, and silly design decisions, but people praise them for it. Fallout 4 looks to be no different, and the hype has overtaken once more. Will it be a solid release and experience? Definitely, but awarding products that are borderline unfinished is a slap in the face to any developer who cares. It's insulting and it really does piss me off.

Sorry, but you're going to have to deal with the fact that millions of people love Fallout.  Why?  Because of "hype"?  That's bullshit and sophistry.  People like Fallout because it's absorbing, engaging, and a bloody blast to play.

This "hype" thing people whine about endlessly is getting annoying.  If it's a new IP, sure, hype should always be mitagated by the knowledge that it's unproven.  But when people are enthused about an existing franchise?  It's because they liked the previous games.

As far as "poorly written" goes, New Vegas had better writing than 90% of the rest of the games on the market.  I really have no idea what you're talking about there.

Damn not one xbox exclusive won :O

Need for speed over Forza is a horrendous decision no matter how you look at it, although most of the other decisions are understandable. Even Battlefront winning awards ahead of Halo, Rainbow Six and The Division is understandable since DICE had such a great scripted demo of their multi although I did see a lot more negative reactions to Battlefront from people who had played it than I did R6 and Halo.

I couldn't agree more.

You lost your credibility when you said New Vegas has better writing than 90% of the market. You cant seriously believe that.

Oh.  Well, I guess it's a good thing I don't give a rat's ass about your credibility rankings.  :D  What, was that supposed to concern me?

Before any elder scrolls or a fallout game given any more awards or "people being ethused" , bethesda needs to prove that it can release a non-broken game first. After morrowind, oblivion, skyrim, fallout 3 and fallout new vegas all being broken to the point that you can lose profiles/saves and the games all freeze consistently, I've had enough of that shit.

Yeah, it's sad that I have to point out the pink elephant in the room to people.....
