Don't put words into my mouth, I said ridiculously outdated, the 3DS is maybe a little more powerful than a PS2. Also I didn't say they wanted to commit financial suicide, by releasing on PS4 they might leave some money on the table (though Sony would probably gladly pitch in some cash for a game like this as well) by releasing on PC they'd completely crash in a market like Japan.

Also you don't have to act as if we're still just making assumptions about this coming to console, that has been confirmed by Horii himself.

This is speculation until we could get our hands on the original Japanese, but he most likely gave no confirmation whatsoever.

In Japanese, game devices (console & handheld) are called Kateiyou Game-ki 家庭用ゲーム機 (which translates to household game-device). This is a general term and includes stationary consoles (Sueoki-ki 据置機, stationary device) as well as handhelds (携帯機 Keitai-ki, portable device).
The term itself is meant to differentiate from Arcade-machines back in the day and phone-games today.

So to summarize, I am quite sure he said Kateiyou Game-ki, because the console-specific term Sueoki-ki is rather unusual, and he most likely wanted to point out it's not going to be on mobile.

Square Enix is showing us that they want to bring their games to Playstation! (Dragon Quest Heroes, Star Ocean 5, SaGa 2015, World of Final Fantasy...)

I'm fine if it goes to both, but if it were only going to one I would hope it'd be for ps4, so if worse comes to worse with localization I could still at least import the damn thing.

Quite certainly PS4, it might (and that's a rather big might, mind you) go to Wii U, but more likely NX.

So PS4, maybe NX too, if it's a home console. Squeenix have been very adamantly supporting the PS4 lately, so I don't see how they'd not release it on the PS4.

remember dragon quest IX on DS and  monster hunter 4 on 3ds meltdown  ? hope we can get level of that magnitude soon 

Unfortunetaly, they warned US too many times, with many hints that thé game will be on PS4, even if most chose to be blind and expected it on 3DS, So it wont be a surprise for most

Yeah anybody that at this point still expects this game to be on handheld has nobody but themselve to blame for it.
