I'm sure if you told a Nintendo fan in 2004 that the next Nintendo controller would be a one handed device with only two buttons shaped like a wand, they wouldn't understand it either. |

As for your example, you are comparing a new kind of controller, something that not only everybody expects from a new Nintendo console but that after the Eye-Toy or the PS2 Buzz game controllers was hard to understand, but not to imagine. Meanwhile, I can't really imagine what a display with a hole can be used for.
Please excuse my bad English.

Well...that's it. The NX will be Nintendos last home console.
Bet with Adamblaziken:
I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
If the rumour about the 20M consoles sold in the first year is true, then it's gotta be something out of the ordinary.
Which would also explain why it isn't better than a PS4.
All i know for a fact is that Iwata already told that they wanted to change the way consoles are sold and games are sold.
The new program already sheds some light on the latter. We haven't seen anything regarding the former.
Well, yeah. If its gonna share its library with the handheld then there's no way if could be as strong as the PS4. My bet is still on $250 for the launch price. Prolly gonna run Xbox 360 lvl games at 1080p 60fps, current gen multiplats be damned. Hell, it could be that both the handheld and console will launch at just $200. There's no way Nintendo is going to try to compete directly with the Juggernaut that is PS4, and theyd be stupid to get involved in the bidding wars for 3rd party titles as well.

Thats nothing new. Nintendo has had last consoles since the n64. They are practically experts at making them.

I have always wanted to own a last home console.
I really hope this doesn't end up being the case.
I can't see the NX being too successful if it can't deliver on hardware.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
Yeah, competing with PS4 is a lost cause. Not even the XB1 is keeping up with PS4.
Nintendo needs something really different to make people look at it.
Just hope it really is the kind of "different" gamers want.
I'll say this: if this rumor is true (and I believe it is), and this NX isn't the handheld variant, it will be extremely interesting watching the train wreck (or phenomenon) that is the NX unfold.
Either way, I don't see myself being apart of it. Can't imagine I'll be down for it. Releasing a console that won't get 3rd parties AGAIN just isn't what I'm personally looking for anymore. I'm not a multi console owner and probably won't start now.
Unless, of course, they make a big open world Pokemon. I'll buy an Ouya if it has that.
