Not sure why the Wii U is being threw out there so much by users when a Nintendo home console hasn't seen a proper main series Dragon Quest game since Dragon Quest VI for the Super Famicom like 20 years ago (I don't count X cause it was a MMO). If i had to guess it's gonna be a PS4 only title as it would take alot of tweaks to port it to the Wii U cause of the Gamepad/hardware specs for what would more then likely have lackluster sales. While i hope the Wii U does get the game, I just can't put faith in it.

Oh and another thing, no offense to anyone but that whole "we Nintendo fans supported XY on the Nintendo handhelds, so why do they fuck us over by not giving our home console the new game in the series"-thing really does not work whatsoever. The Nintendo handheld fanbase is vastly bigger than their home console base and is next to Nintendo console owners comprised of tons of people that don't own a Nintendo home console and instead own a different brand of home console or non at all.

Dragon Quest XI sera, par exemple, un jeu conçu pour console de salon, car il sera pensé pour des contrôles à la manette.

What does this say?

You are correct.

But KH3 would have sold better on Wii U than on Xbox One. Xbox One owners won't pick up that game, I bet my apartment on it. There is no reason for Square Enix to release KH3 on Xbox One and skip Wii U.

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

I can give you one: It's much easier to port.

But yeah, this might have been one of the few cases where a Wii U version of a multiplat would have sold more than a version on another console.

Here you go:

What. The. Fuck. I'm going to assume he means localized in general but he just said "in French" because the interview was with a French magazine. However, if I'm wrong and they're only releasing it in French (what...) then at least I kind of understand French so I can kind of play it. Almost great news.

And to answer this:

"Dragon Quest XI sera, par exemple, un jeu conçu pour console de salon, car il sera pensé pour des contrôles à la manette.

He certainly says DQ XI will play on a console something. I have no clue why it's "console de salon." I would think "console de maison" would make more sense as I've never heard "salon" used for a home/house, although I'm not that fluent at french and it may just be another word for home.

Dragon Quest XI will, for example, be a game developed for home consoles, because we have thought of joystick controls. Something like that.

Salon is the living room in a house.

Worst selling entry in the franchise since the PS1 days (wherever it ends) if true.

Also the console which gets it is saved in Japan.

Only 1 DQ quest outsold the PS1 and PS2 versions.... that was the 9th game, on the NDS.

All the rest where far below, what was sold on the PS1 & PS2.

The problem is you're using vgchartz.

Thanks for the clarification. Now that you say that, salon does make sense for living room.
