Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4 adjustment up? PS4 now >300k overtracked...

http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/42064/Global/

What? O.o

The PS4 was at 20.34 million sold before the adjusment according to VGChartz. After the adjustment, PS4 is at 20.53 million.

Now... The question is, why those adjusment!? O.o

I mean, Sony CONFIRMED the PS4 was at 20.2 million sold by 1 March 2015! PS4 was already overtracked, and now we have new adjustment UP!? :|

PS4 282,373 (+6%) 20,537,945

Just... why?

EDIT: Nothing

I don't see why it matters

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!

? That's quite an overtrack indeed. Well, Sony's fiscal report is coming soon, so we should see if that affects the sites current sales numbers.

I too would like proper sales counts when they are confirmed. So yeah Fed 28 should properly reflect a known 20.2m sales on March 1. I do question though what makes you think 300k overtracked _now_?

Why is matter?

We know a console is at 20.2m sold.

The site has the console at 20.34m sold.

So, what make? adjustment down? no, we make adjustment up... I mean... there are some reason?

The question is, i can understant none adjustment, but why adjustment UP?

to be fair when Sony is announcing sales they say "has sold more than xxx", as there is some room for statistical error etc

Ok, but >300k ???

VGChartz has PS4 at more than 20.5m... if the numbers was true, why Sony didn't say "PS4 sold more than 20.5 million" ?

As long as the numbers are on track at the moment, I'm not too fussed about the numbers on the older dates.
