In both of these game genres the object of the game is not to take part in combat, but to avoid combat for the most part.

Survial horror - Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Clock Tower

Definitely survival horror. The atmosphere and settings are generally more appealing to me.

I would have to say Stealth. Never really played much of horror to be honest. Was looking forward to Silent Hills though, too bad.

Definitely Stealth. I've played both types of games and have enjoyed sneaking up on people much more.

Only survival horror game i liked is Alien Isolation.

But I love stealth games too! It's just that Resident Evil is probably one of my favourite videogame series of all time, so Survival Horror wins by default.
