I think nintendo will want to launch the NX system at $250 which will mean fairly modest hardware otherwise they will incur hefty losses and we know this just isn't part of their philosphy. Now this will  mean it is still more powerful than the wii u but just below the level of an xboxone. For me this isn't an outlandish prediction at all if anything this is a safe bet because everything in their recent past and miyamoto's recent statement all point to this being true. I just can't see them releasing another $350 home console, they got burnt with this pricepoint for the wii u and they will go back to releasing cheaper hardware.

Don't kill me this isn't clickbait but an honest prediction, i will buy the NX day one whatever the specs and zelda and metroid are my favourite franchises of all time.

X1 specs will be cheap enough to come in at that price point by the time NX is released especially as Nintendo skips mulitmedia functions and probably won't have a HDD in favour of supporting external HDDs.

The Wii U price was higher than they wanted/expected it to be, so the next console will likely also aim for a lower price than the Wii U launched at. Hopefully they hit the mark this time.

Prediction: The NX home console will be a handheld.

OT: I don't see it being less-powerful than Xbox One. The XB1 is already $349.99, if the NX releases late 2016 or during 2017, a system with similar specs could probably go for $249.99-299.99 at launch.

Considering we still have NO IDEA WHAT THE NX EVEN IS, I don't think we can make predictions as to what specs it will have.

why should the nx be as strong as the wiiu? the gap from wiiu to xbone isnt that huge.(or nintendo devs are way better than m$ devs).
and end 2016 we could see smartphones that are stronger than the xbone...

This doesn't mean a thing. Cheaper components will mean a bigger profit or an increase in power which one do you think nintendo will choose.
