Lets see if that random Sony rep, claiming over 24million units sold to consumers, at E3 was right.
Once we get updated up to that point.

You got this 100% backwards.

Lets see if VGcharts matches those claims?

Looking at the charts the first thing I see is that Wii U is overtracked in Europe...
Bigger hardware sales in Europe than North America... Yep ioi...

i'm sure Sony has not even SHIP 24m... PS4 is probabily barely above 22m. ( yes, is probabily overtracked. )

im not showing appreciation for month old numbers that nobody cares to discuss. are we really going to lower the bar that much?

Very much true but things are moving, that's great.

Have you ever been in a job where there's is no appreciation for what you do? Even though you get paid to do it, you have no drive to do your job.

Well I think Brett is at that stage, website is bringing in money and he has no drive to update numbers because i'st a lot of work for little appreciation. Now I don't think it should be a good enough reason to stop the numbers because it kinda pisses off the people that have supported the site for years. And I don't want people to start the "your doing amazing ioi" comments because it makes me sick every time I see somebody suck up. Honestly if I see another person saying "US/Japan numbers are spot on ioi well done" I will flip lol. Of course they will be spot on, we get NPD every month and Japan data every week.

Having said all that I think we should at least acknowledge what Brett does. We have a right to moan about dodgy/lack-of data but we should also apreciate that we get them.

I'm not appreciating this shit. We haven't got numbers in like 2 months, and then we should appreciate when we get month old numbers? That only encourages this site's behavior.

"Hey, if we just update once every two months with old numbers, they'll still like us".

Not happening

20.2M sold by 1st March. So it needs 3.8M sold by E3 which was 15 weeks after. 3.8/15 = 253k a week average = possible.

You claim 22M to current date. Thats 1.8M consoles sold from 1st March. 1.8M/17 = 106k a week average = Not likely.

If you meant 22M by E3. 1.8/15 = 120k a week average = not likely
