That'd be pretty cool to happen. I wonder why he cried though. Did they know each other well?

She was describing him as a really nice kid when they knew each other, so whatever series of events led to him being, well, THERE, encountering her might have been a rather vivid reminder for him of how his life was before whatever went down happened, when he presumably wasn't the sort of guy to end up commiting burglary. Sort of a 'Oh God, where have I ended up?' moment for him. Just guessing, of course.
