That 3ds bump is a little worrying. :/ Is it just that it reached market saturation in japan by now? Sofware sales are good as ever, even though I expected If to do even better. I'd be interested in digital for it.
Splatoon contiues to have beautiful legs. WiiU could be better, but is doing ok thanks to Splatoon carrying it.

- Buys the Black Version with discount, since that person already had the white edition

Yes, because they're purchasing two separate SKUs. I am interested in the version breakdown. I do hope Black version won out.

It decreased significantly from the base game, though:

16 - PS4 Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 34,279 86,194 Square Enix

Nearly all contained in the PS3 version, but PS4 didn't seem to pick up any of those consumers.

I would differeniate the base game from the expansion though. The people left buying the game are the more hardcore fans. They will be more likely to get it digitally since they could have downloaded and installed the entire thing days before the official release. With an early access period starting on Friday before the release date, I know more than 100 people who play and only a handful bought physical (all were the LE too).

Good sales for If, but it seems as though Nintendo needs a new handheld sooner rather than later.

Soul Sacrifice had a literal "Double Pack" which was 2 retail copies in one bit of shrink wrap. That was not double counted despite selling more than 10k as it is a single SKU. A special edition that contains more content are always counted as a single SKU (which is what we're tracking).


Again if thats what you believe then fine, but majority of everyone else will not, including Famitsu/IS/Nintendo/MC (they did something similar to this with ORAS)/other major sources.

And it still makes sense for it to be included as 2 games like Nintendo has done with NSMBU+NSLU.

yeah! and i think it really goes back to the whole Fusion thing with the NX. Having a holiday 2017 release date is pretty good.

Famitsu and MC are in the business of tracking SKUs, they agree with me.

Unsure about how Nintendo will do this, but I expect them to just report what MC shows + digital sales.
