A team of six are currently building a game which judging from the above gameplay trailer, looks set to be a strong player in the horror genre, the 14 minute trailer was released yesterday and demonstrates the general gameplay of the game as well as the level of detail poured into the environments and sound design.

Looks great!

You can find out more on the teams facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/AllisonRoadGame

That was awesome! But why so rude with P.T. with that thread title? :( Poor thing is not even alive to defend itself. :(

It felt a lot like P.T. and the way that exploration sort of allows you to progress the game.

It didn't have enough eyes and no crying fetus but oh well.

The game looked very, very good but...

It wasn't even close to as scary and tense as P.T. to me and the voice acting turned me off

... voice overs could have some improvements indeed.

But definitely this is impressive work for a team of six people and having someone creating a game in the vain of P.T. after Konami aborted us that one forever gives us something forward to look for.

Actually, P.T. is like that aborted fetus in the sink, stripped away from us before it got to fully form and now we cry for it for losing it.

Hopefully Sony can work something out with these guys. ;) There was that nice Dualshock there. :D

I wanted to make friends with the little fetus. I even named it Charlie.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I wouldnt be able to play this without loseing it.... I was watching it and... scaaaary.

This looked graphically gorgeous and is very impressive for a team of six.
However it looks....well...like a p.t. knockoff.
With p.t. even in the frustratingly random and sluggish sections of it, the atmosphere was always tight and compelling you to go on. It was very clear there was an artistic vision behind it and that they made it exactly what they wanted it to be.
This game pales a little by comparison. Not saying it's going to be bad or anything and I realize that it's still in early stages, but it just lacks it's own identity as of now. It feels like their vision statement is to make 'something like p.t.' as opposed to for example: 'our own survival horror game with puzzle elements'.
With this my first impulse would have been to run into the garden and go: No. NO. NONONONONO. Fuck this shit. Not going in there again.
With p.t. you had to go on, you wanted to solve this, despite all the disturbing imagery. And right of the bat it gave you way more little clues that something was off, wich exaggerated slowly over time. With this I was never intrigued. I was bored for the first two thirds and then waiting for the inevitable jump scare (which to their credit never really came) in the last third.

The graphics were impressive and they nailed the look of the modern looking apartment. The odd symbolic pictures, the misplaced black sumges and the contract between the clean and dirty sections of each room added to the uneasiness of the game's atmosphere. I don't have any issues with the voice acting, however this type of game can still have a quasi-silent protagonist where his thoughts when he interacts with some items can be written on the screen instead. I rarely play these and what they're going for might still be effective in the story their trying to tell.

P.T might have disappeared forever, but it became a cultural phenomenon and we will definitely see it more things directly and indirectly inspired by it in the future.

Looking quite good. Great picture quality!

But they really need to fix that framerate...

I liked P.T. a lot better but I guess an alright spiritual successor is better than nothing. It will never match the quality Kojima and guillermo del toro would have made.

Since we never got more than the P.T. teaser, i would argue that this game has already surpassed P.T's quality.

Oh man, thank you! My thoughts exactly!

Allison Road looks absolutely terrific! I'm hoping for a kickstarter so I can already give them my freaking money. I wanna pledge $100 for my support of this.

Looks epic! I love horror games and I can't wait for this one

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

physically based rendering really shows excellent results, but they probably need to get rid of all of those brands if they ever want to release this comercially

I definitely like this more than P.T. That's how you end a promo gameplay trailer.
