A little OT but why does Target's best sellers list not show consoles anymore? This started a few weeks ago. Did they change something?

For Wii U Japan accounts for 23% of sales

For Vita Japan accounts for 32% of sales

OT, in terms of the Fools Edition PS4 is it perhaps the case that because it's only available through 3rd parties it doesn't get counted in the monthly chart? Speaking of which, it seems odd that All but the Batman bundle is 3rd party sellers only, unless new skus are on their way very soon.

Oddly enough..  57% is where the X360 was also.. for North America..    So it would seem the X1 is doing exactly as the X360..    just not seeming likely it will outsell the PS4 in NA like the X360 did the PS3..

Amazon is currently out of stock on 3 X1 500GB SKU's Standalone, AC Bundle and MCC bundle, MCC is currently listed to be in stock on 27th July and Amazon is no longer listed under the sellers on the other 2.

Meanwhile PS4 is currently on offer with the Batman Bundle + free Tomb Raider for $399.

Edit: After my origional psot I refreshed the page and it seems now Xbox One 1TB MCC bundle is now on offer with a free copy of Tomb Raider + 3 month Live for $399.

Yeah, global market split for Xb one looks pretty similar to last gen, so all markets have taken a somewhat similar generational dive; pretty much 100% to the benefit of PS4. USA accounts for 34% of PS4 sales, for PS3 USA was 31%. Not as close as the Xbox proportions but still close. I suspect as the PS4 price decreases around the world the gamers in less rich countries will start picking up PS4 at a greater rate and this will probably mean the US contribution to global PS4 sales will drop. And most are expecting Japan to start selling PS4s at a much healthier rate once some key franchises come on board. Though whether that happens in a substantial way, or whether console gaming is truly in a state of serious decline in Japan remains to be seen. It could literally come down to whether FFXV is a genuine rennaisence for the FF franchise or a continued slide in quality, and whether KH3 is everything every hopes it will be.

Well, it looks incredibly good for the PS4.

Last year it managed an 11 on Amazon monthly.  This year, it posts a strong 6.

Considering what's coming along in a few months, it almost seems like a poke in the eye to see the PS4 version of the Tomb Raider definitive edition in the top 50 and the Xb one version no where to be seen. And you know what else? The Xb one version is $3 cheaper. An expenditure of questionable intelligence on the part of MS, but it's their money to spend and fair play to them for getting what they want. But a big fuck you move on the part of CD/SE who would have made plenty of money from a multiplatform RoTR as long as it was at least as good as TR 2013. Just because someone offers you money to screw over 60% of your customer base doesn't mean you have to take it.

More than the price difference, its telling that a ps4 bundled with Tomb Raider sells more than a 1TB xbox one bundled with the same game and 3 months of gold live for the same price (if we take the rankings of the game as an indicator). Maybe its because there are way too many xbox skus right now.
