Everybody else got it and replied with other wacky possible buyers for AMD, nobody took offence.

They said they were over with trying to kee afloat lossy divisions and were going to invest in profiting division this year.

Their devices division has always been quite good IIRC, so I don't see where the problem is.

Investing in AMD does not mean Sony is focusing on profits ... 

I don't think you know this but AMD has had consecutive loses for a number of years recently so pouring a lot of money into buying AMD will only exasperate Sony's situation further ...

And as I have already said, since the original story is from an unknown, unverfied source, and the original author of that article made no attempt to convey the legitimacy or reliability of that source, it makes the story no more believable than Vivsters thread.

Vivster has a long history of making sarcastic, joking posts so this thread should be considered no different, I see no reason to lock it or issue him an infraction based on that since nobody has actually broken any rules, secondly, if we changed the rules and issued an infraction to Vivster, we would need to issue infractions to 90% of the forums userbase.
