Yeah, I chose Mexico because A) Its economy is better (poorer, but more industry) and B) because Cuba has a very peculiar system, the ppp data being somewhat questionable, as the variety of products available is quite low (example: only cars they can get are 40 year old americans.)

Not true, they have better healthcare system than the US probably and produce their own medicine

On that:

-Better than the american healthcare means nothing, as americas healthcare is largely private, those all being better. So no, americans are not getting much from their government - considering that they aren't paying anything for it, either. (I don't support this system, by the way.)

-Healthcare is a primary focus of the cuban government, spending a massive amount of the countries GDP (which they entirely controle) on this. However, much else is severely lacking. Housing consists of small, barren, old and badly damaged concrete apartment blocks for most of the population, havanna equally posses a large bidonville. Cars are as described, and mostly only available for military personal. Food is sufficiently distributed by the government, but mostly conisists of rice and beans, as the government has insuffiecent funds to import, and that's all the island can produce in great enough quantity. What concerns entertainement, well, it's sure good that they have paradisic beaches, as the best you can hope from technologie is an ancient TV.

This was made as a comparision to Greece. I'm not saying they will end up as the DRC, just that they will very significantly distance themselves from their western neighbors.
