That's a good point. Nintendo has always been about low develpoment budgets and huge turnouts, but the present crowd of gamers demand more power and HD+ visuals. They do infact need to expand their development staff a great deal to keep up with demand, so I hope their venture into the mobile allows more profits to warrant more employees in the development department.

I'm just scared that the higher profits and less work involved in Mobile will convince Nintendo to focus more on there and less on dedicated hardware :/

hopefully people will stop calling Retro and Monolith soft a second party now

nah don't worry about that as Nintendo likes to do their own things and mobile will never give them the freedom they crave

Not if the current investors have anything to do with it :( Which is mainly why I don't want Iwata to get replaced.

the investors are happy as long as Nintendo makes profit and hopefully their next console will be a success. They can demand something like focus only on mobile

Pokemon is only 32 percent? I thought they owned 51 percent?

Nope, they only own a third of it and it's always been that way. The other two thirds are owned by Gamefreak and Creatures Inc, although Nintendo do own a small percentage of Creatures Inc as well.

and who owns gamefreak?

Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokemon.

100%? or just over 50%? or does anyone know since it's privately held?

Interesting. Do Nintendo of America, and Nintendo of Canada have the same amount of capital, or are they one company? Cause it seems odd to invest as much in Canada as the US

I looks like it was a mistake it now says Can4,000 in millions so much less than the US
