Forums - Gaming Discussion - What was the first RPG you ever played?

Paper Mario on the N64. It's actually the only JRPG I've ever liked.

either Evolution: The World of Sacred Device
or Skies of Arcadia on Dreamcast

besides Pokemon and other gameboy games.

I'm by no means an RPG fan, but I quite enjoyed Star Ocean: till the end of time which was my first voyage in the RPG genre.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Mario introduced me to quite a few genres - platforming, RPG, racing, and even educational!

Pokemon Red. I remember spending hours on end on them pokemans.

The answer of anyone around my age should be Pokémon Red/Blue.

Super Mario RPG and Grandia say hello.

My first RPG was Rogue, then later Eye of the beholder.
I didn't really get into RPGs until FF7 and Baldur's gate. Before that I mainly played adventure games.

Puzzle Quest

Depends on how you define it. Could be Shenmue, Kingdom Hearts, or Skies of Arcadia.
