I hope that puts the rumors to rest that PS4 does not have the best games

PS4 games are usually reviewed higher, just look at Shovel Knight on PS4 vs. Wii U. Came out almost a year later yet it has 91% vs. 88% on Wii U.

And the PS4-version of Shovel Knight deserves the slightly higher score: it's cross-buy, so you only have to buy it once if you want to play it on your TV (PS4) and on the go (Vita). And you can fight Kratos.

While you have to pay it twice if you want to play it on your TV (Wii U) and on the go (3DS).

Not bending any rules, just using common sense as to why metacritic is flawed. To which you obviously have no argument against.

Oh and Flower on PS3 only has 87%. You're telling me the PS4 version is better? Oh wait, exact same game...

You count SK on the PS4 as a 90%+ game even though Wii U has that game as well, but reviewers rated it lower. It's the exact same game for crying out loud!

And can you explain me the difference between counting Flower and any of the VC games I mentioned? I'd really like to know.

Shovel Knight is better on the PS4...it has cross buy, cross save, trophy support, and a kratos boss fight.

And yeah, flower is better on PS4 aswell. Flower actually released for the PS4 and was improved in various ways.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Grasping at straws. Wii U also has exclusive features.

3 point difference for a Kratos battle that lasts 2 minutes? Haha.

And no reviewers don't care for cross-buy, most people don't own a Vita.

Flower is enhanced (visual + gameplay) and not a straight port blown up to run on HDTVs for one. SK has variance on all 5 platforms and the difference isnt big enough to lose any sleep over. You're just looking for ways to downplay and discredit the OPs original point. As "flawed" as metacritic is it still shows that PlayStation will always have the highest amount of games rated above 80 and 90. Only when you throw in specific conditions (that consumers dont care about) does the XBox or Wii U come on top, and even then its completely miniscule and subject to change given how Sony supports their consoles while the others tend to relax as years go by.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Wind Waker HD is vastly enhanced over the original and is scored much lower.

The only reason Flower is higher on the PS4 is because almost no one cared to review the game again. PS3 version has much more reviews.

And any VC game can be played on the gamepad only which means you don't have to play old games like A Link to the Past on a big HD tv, but on a nice small screen. You can also save any time you want which can come in handy.

And yes gamepad functionality is a big plus for me because I don't want to play Metroid: Fusion on a big HD TV or a GBA with poor backlighting.

I don't mind you saying PS4 will have the best games by the end of its lifetime, but please don't use metacritic as an argument for it.

Grasping at straws yourself. Almost every PS4-review of Shovel Knight commends cross-buy and cross-save. Perhaps you should click on "read full review" sometimes instead of getting your opinion from the MetaScore summary.

And "most people" don't even own any home console or handheld, that argument is really weak. 10 million people do own a Vita (which is a solid base for an indie developer), it should matter to them.

You also ignore that many scores of indie games are slightly in favor of the Wii U although the version are almost identical:

  • Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition: Wii U = 90, PS4 = 87
  • Child of Light: Wii U = 84, PS4 = 82
  • Steamworld Dig: Wii U = 83, PS4 = 82
  • Stick it to the Man!: Wii U = 81, PS4 = 75

Do you see PS4 owners complaining about these minor score differences?

P.S.: I personally couldn't care less about average scores for each system. The number of good games count, it doesn't matter to me if 1 million bad games or only 10 bad games exist beside that, since I only play the best for each system... with a few exceptions of course.

A bit surprised that Wii U average is that low..

Good work though

Nope, they're further proof as to why metacritic is flawed. I was just focusing on the Sony aspect of things. Although a one point differnce is meaningless. :p

And sorry but cross-buy doesn't make a game better. I'd rather just buy a PS4 and not a Vita lol. Which is my plan.

And agreed with your P.S.

lol , look at above 85 metacritic scores for exclusive wii u easily shit on ps4

Wow, this is surprising. I expected the Wii U to be on top, but instead, it's the other way around o.O
