Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Fire Emblem Fates: Both "FULL GAMES" Each, DLC "Third Path" is a Full Game as Well!

For those concerned without spoilers, Aside from the shared Prologue/First 5 Chapters, the games are full fleshed out. Will not comment on how much as it will make some angry here.

As for the third Path DLC, the obvious main character decides not to join either side and runs. Its a game practically in itself. Only thing i can say is in Main game its as long as Awakening (this includes ch 1-5 which are the easy ones, duh)

Hopefully this clears up some air to the separate versions. 3 FE games practically, DAY 1! :0

Can't wait for Ubisoft's next game to be worth seven full games plus three more if you buy the day one DLC.

FTFY

Well... My biggest question is that if you played one, would the other one will be similar just with a different PoV? Like I am assuming that many of the levels are different but will you like, know some of the key plot points before they happen if you already played the other version? Cause if that is the case (since I didn't read it), I wouldn't pay the Japanese asking price for them at all.

Now if virtually all plot points are different and you don't really know whats going to happen at all even if you played one of them, then its a bit easier sell but still, I probably wouldn't pay the Japanese asking price for them. I really hope they get the pricing right cause I really want to play the games, just not willing to pay that much for them.

Obviously I didn't read the link since I don't want any spoilers but yea

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

thats awsome, but this game needs to come out sooner here in the west :(

How much did the special edition cost in Japan? That version that came with both stories and the DLC, will it come to the West? Because if it's not that much expensive, I'd preffer getting that version and just saving all the hussle of buying each separate history.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

DLC should either be $15 or $20 ($10 or $12 would be Crazy good though). So if you buy 1 copy and the other as DLC and the Third Path the most you should be paying is $80, a good scenario would be $60 for 3 full games (if its $15 each).

Good news. :D

Still kinda confused about this game overall, tbh.

I guess I'm just gonna pick this version up, hoping to get the COMPLETE and FULL experience?

As excited as I am for Fates, honestly, I wish this whole dual version thing was never a thing.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

So it sounds like the third game is the true path and true ending.
Not exactly a fan of having to buy the true ending. Perhaps one game does a good enough job to make you feel content with the story (ignorance is bliss). I'll see, as I'm currently looking into it with the first games. Though there will be big problems for you if you want to discuss the plot with someone who has played the the third game since things you may believe are truth in your game turn out to be false if you play the third.

There is no true ending. The third Path is just another alternative route. Yeap from wat i seen.

Edit: Its easy to think it is the "true" ending because its practically the middle ground, but its more complicated than that, especially when..... Dies... and..... All this stuff happening in all 3 stories :)
