I hope it will pass both Avengers and Titanic at the domestic box office but it won't surpass Avatar unless Universal re-release the film in theaters(I also want them to re-release Furious 7 as well).

Proud to be a Californian.

Genetics dont work the way the scientist was talking. You cant get a feature from one animal and copy paste it into another. Its not how it works.

I'm not talking about the way hejustified the features of the indominus rex by pointing out the species he used. Seems like he was trying to excuse himself thinking the indian billionaire and the redhead were well the sort of person to buy into lego genetics, but later when he talked to those mercenaries/army dudes, it was clear he deliberately was researching into a way to include those features into his genetically modified dinosaurs.

The GMOs we've created in the last 20 years in real life aren't that impressive, but in a world where dinosaurs were brought back to life, the modifications he did on the indominus seem very doable.

Thats the thing, we will never know that. I mean something like eye color, skin color i relatively simple. But the part of the code that pertains abilities such as camouflage skin and thermal sensitivity are alot more complex and involve several features working in unison. HA! That would be a piece of work to be able to find out and replicate on a different animal.

But well... its part of the fun to just go along with it. ^^

I thought it was utter garbage. Spoilers:

1. Using raptors for the military just because a guy trained them to stand still when feeding him rats? There are enormous political repercussions for for non targeted causalities as it is using smart weapons and it of goes against international laws of inhumane weaponry. This would never, ever been considered in real life.

2. How does that Rex/Raptor hybrid know that they're watching it's thermal readings? It wouldnt be aware of that to make its plan.

3. They have a backup tracking implant in that rex/raptor hybrid yet they decide to open it's "cage" instead of looking at the reading from the tracking implant? (which at the time is still implanted) This is an absurdly unrealistic response.

4. Rex/Raptors literally "talk" to each others, convincing raptors to turn? Thats now how animal communication or behavior psychology works.

5. Horrible acting - kid just tazes a raptor in back of the van and says he cant wait to tell his mom. Is that really how the average kid would behave in that situation, rather than crying, shaking and otherwise pissing his pants? Many other instances of inappropriate reactions considering the circumstances.

6. Guy/woman see a dead dino when they leave the car to go look for the kids. They actually stop to shed tears over the creature and spend a few minutes petting it while her two nephews are out there possibly dead or dying? Unreal how badly the script writers dont understand basic human behavior and psychology.

7. Ending battle was a joke - you solve a problem of a giant trex like creature escaping by letting out an actual trex? and your assumption is that will help rather than double the problem? Idiocy upon idiocy. Rather than use military grade weapons, their idea of containment is to let loose raptors and when that doesnt work, let loose a trex.

8. Absolutely no tension - straight up action only. JP 1 and 2 had a lot less deaths but far more tensions and fear.

There are so many other issues, but this movie was a pile of garbage. The script is at fault here - it's plain garbage.

lol I bet you're great fun to watch movies with

What next? Toy Story is a shit movie because there's way a plastic/ cotton toy could pick even the slightest object as neither of those equate to any form of muscle mass?

0331 Happiness is a belt-fed weapon

I thought it was kind of meh. Same exact plot - some kids get stuck in a dinosaur outbreak - a man and a woman with a somewhat rocky relationship have to save them - the difficult experience brings them all together in the end.

Also, I really like Chris Pratt but I thought he was pretty bad in this movie.

It was everything I wanted to watch when I was 5 years old and watched the first Jurassic Park

Toy story is an all time great movie. Bad scripts are bad scripts and nothing will change that.

I thought it was bad...pretty much everything from the plot, to the acting, to the action was pretty sub-par.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I thought it was 100 times more entertaining than the original. The original was a snoozefest.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

I liked it.
