I think Nintendo needs to return to a Wii-like strategy (no, Wii branding and a new controller is not what I'm talking about).

Look back at E3 2005 when Nintendo unveiled "Revolution", they talked about rising development costs of games which would cause dozens of companies to go under, so they created a device that would allow for low-cost of development where developers could be creative and not worry about games not being profitable if they don't sell in the multi-millions.

They also talked about simple control schemes that could be used by anyone, not just longtime gamers who have become accustomed to the dual analog/8 face button/4 shoulder button design. This would allow the console to be accessible for new or casual gamers.

A low-cost console where developers can be creative and consumers of all demographics can play is what Nintendo needs and that is not what they provided with Wii U.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I agree, as long as they keep focusing on games like DKCTropical Freeze and Super Mario 3D World rather than other kind of games.

The exception is this:
Nintendo doesnt have an inhouse AAA devoloper and cant make games like Horizon or Uncharted 4.

Do you truly believe this?

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Nintendo is screwed for the rest of the gen with third party, but their lack of third party is majorly their own fault. The sooner you understand that they COULD work with third party and allow third party to realize their vision for their own games life would go much easier for them, but they dont. Western developers dont go by the same code as eastern ones so politically the they have to find a middle ground. Nintendo is known for being hard headed though.

gosh, the BS never ends.

Nintendo has historically had bad history with third party including the lockout chip and their suit with Atari. This is nothing new. As famous as they are for their first party they are notorious in the gaming world for their treatment of western third party. Yet another reason why they had to part ways with Rare.

Nowadays game developers are just lazy and all they  want an easy to port system.

You act like that is a bad thing when Nintendo wants it themselves.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

If not, you could also add Assassin's Creed III and IV, COD Ghosts, and Blops II, Mass Effect 3, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Tekken Tag 2, Batman Arkham City and Origins, ect.

As other people had said, if the install base was there third parties would show up on a Nintendo console, absolutely.

A game simply cannot have more A's than Monster Hunter. We got one this year and two more announced for nintendo systems.

The AAA industry will go to where ever the money is, enough said.

HAHAHA!!!! Uncharted 4? Are you serious?

Anyway, I don't think they'll get those "AAA mutiplatform games" back, and I'm sure that by the term "AAA", you mean Call Of Duty, AC, Killzone, etc.... I don't think those games could return to Nintendo, although Ubisoft, EA, and Activision are shady as heck, they would probably go back with their tails between their legs if the next Nintendo console proves to be a success.

Bethesda doesn't like Nintendo, so scratch them too.

So who would? Square Enix, Capcom, Bandai Namco is where it's at! I bet they would release their big games on the next Nintendo console if the risk is worth taking, specially Bandai Namco. I could see Soul Calibur and Tekken returning to Nintendo, with some "support" or course.

how would Killzone go back, it wasn't even a multiplatform even before.
