animals in the zoo dont do anything bad and didnt have a choice, those guards on the other hand are protecting a tyrant and have a choice to quit...

Touching someone is assault if the other person doesn't want to be touched. In England when ' assaulted you can act in self defence with Reasonable force. I guess that was reasonable.

Royal guards are trained soldiers, with loaded weapons. A guy touched his soulder, right where his weapon was resting against. What if the guy grabbed his gun?

He may be little more than marching in place for show and a total waste of money. BUT he is still a soldier, one carrying a loaded gun as such he reacted very well all things considered. If he didn't react as such perhaps the next person would be someone with ill intent and take the rifle from him.
