Forums - Politics Discussion - Where Is The Human Race Morally Heading?

1 - Its their choice. As long as they can properly provide for their families then why not.

2 - Its been proven to help medically and I don't believe there has been ever a record of a crime being committed when using this. I think... So why not as well.

3 - Depends on the country but if you have a strong and willful law enforcement. Then maybe you can legalize this but not in most countries like mine because there is corruption everywhere and the Government is the criminal syndicate.

4 - Umm.... awkward. I dunno. lol!

5 - No just no,,, who would advocate for this?

 1. Polygamy

 2. Marijuana  ( Old source but many have brought this up on social media and Youtube )

 3. Prostitution

 4. Incest

 5. Pedophilia

1. For me 1 is like consensual adultery. Which is nuts imo.

2. This is better than #1. For me it depends on why they're using it.

3. You get money for doing fornication/adultery, which is wrong.

4/5 - No one needs to explain this. The only argument I could see for #4 is between cousins. I don't agree with it, but it is legalized in some places.

1 If it's consensual than it can't be adultery. I had sex with your husbands friend. They knew, and want it. No secrets. How can it than be wrong?

3 Same thing. It's a choice.

5 Would never happen. Since it involves a person who can't form proper decisions, and parents. We know its morally wrong.

4 Either way. You want to risk destroying your genetic line, go right ahead.

2 leagalize it. The country will get tax money.

Left wing magazine now calling to legalize polygamy after their recent gay marriage victory.

http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/06/gay-marriage-decision-polygamy-119469.html#.VZAM7UYatAg

"Polyamory is a fact. People are living in group relationships today. The question is not whether they will continue on in those relationships. The question is whether we will grant to them the same basic recognition we grant to other adults: that love makes marriage, and that the right to marry is exactly that, a right.

Why the opposition, from those who have no interest in preserving “traditional marriage” or forbidding polyamorous relationships? I think the answer has to do with political momentum, with a kind of ad hoc-rejection of polygamy as necessary political concession. And in time, I think it will change."

5 should not be in the OP, because all the others involve consenting adults, while this one don't. And it's somehow offensive and worrisome that you believe equal rights and pedophilia are related in any way.

About the others 1-3 should be OK. I don't think polygamy would be popular, and there are some law issues (in some countrys the spouse gets benefits in tax, medcare and others), but it should be OK.

Incest could be OK, as long all involved are adults, but you have the problem of genetic problems in children. Don't think it will ever be legal though.

I don´t think there is any law in any civilized cowntry that forbids concensual sexual relationship even if the subjects are first degree relatives.

IMO we should define as inmoral things that deminished the well being or generate unnecessary suffering. Those are not relativistic.

Sex amongst first relatives is sick, offspring generated from 1st cousins have double the chance of serious genetic birth abnormalities.55% of Pakistani immigrants in the UK marry their 1st cousins and the taxpayer has to pay for all these deformed kids, it's a terrible situation both for the kids and the taxpayers. We gotta move into the 21st century and ban this sorta stuff.

To let everyone live how they wish to as long as they live their own lives (don't try to take over the lives of others.)

What I do with my own body and the contracts I make with others (who are capable of understanding these contracts) are none of your business. Modern Liberals, Progressive, Conservatives, etc have a lot to learn about ethics in that regard.

Government shouldn't be legislating about any of those points. If it's two consenting adults I don't care. As long as we are not mandated to like or support no problem.

The line between whats morally correct or not will slowly corrode away after each new wave of movements. Those new laws however, will never erase the underlying problems that have plagued humanity since our inception.

thats not true, its a very old fight we ar watching here, religios values vs moral values.  and moral values will win in the end because freedom and education are the enemys of religion and the friends of modern ethics.

Why do we have to ban something just because it is bad?
