w... t... f... Did I just read.

TL:DR version =

"Nintendo showed me that they are the only major hardware manufacturer that still cares about supporting mobile gaming on a dedicated device."

+ Muppets + Game creation kits + Developer Stories

=  His favorite E3 event.

^ someone is a big nintendo fan :)

What's weird is the guy is a part of gaming journalism and he is shocked that Sony focused on their selling PS4 and not their sadly dying Vita and Nintendo showed love for their Selling 3ds moreso than their slow selling Wii-u. I don't really understand how someone doesn't get companies pushing their strong system at E3.

I actually didnt consider that angle... your right though, that basically means the first part is actually a non factor.

I liked the presentation (the Muppets and them turning into Star Fox characters), but the announcements were a bit lacking. Let's not talk about THAT game...

I'm not sure how anyone can say that. Sony's was easily the best one.

sony got alot of hype because other things happened. without ff7 remake and shenmue there wasnt that much to be hyped.  some things looked realy well, but its was mostly  titles that are far away.  other titles didnt do that well, i think a little space ship game lost a lot of hype after showing what all the PR talk means gameplaywise.

sure it is still the best conference for the most, but if you are not an AAA console gamer but a handheld gamer, well nintendo won easyly.

If you like handhelds...sure. For those of us that have never really gotten into that scene, not so much.

the Wii u had more games and better games at nintendos E3 though

you are getting a new zelda 2016, seriously and the zelda game looks great for a spin-off game, i was unsure at first but it looks loads of fun, who doesnt like the dungeons in ALBW

You talking about 3DS? I don't think so. Star Fox was underwhelming, Mario Tennis was pathetic and Animal Crossing was terrible.

i can't think of anyone willing to agree with that.

This is not my opinion guys, just to be clear. I found this IGN article to be funny that's why I posted it here.

I don't get the joke. What was supposed to be funny?

The author is just being a fanboy and defending everything Nintendo showed at E3. Also his jab at Sony saying that atleast Nintendo supports their handheld like they are still making 3DS exclusives and showed them at E3 unlike Vita which doesn't get any support from Sony. Its funny even though I agree with this point of his.

well I agree that they showed more support for the 3DS than for WiiU. But more isn't necessarily better. The show was poor for both systems.
