Forums - Sony Discussion - Shu on "saving" TLG: Budget still modest, would work with Ueda again

is this news? i mean we more or less know that the most time the team was one men sitting in a room somewhere at sony crying for his vision and crying over all those terrible games sony funded instead of TlG.
Ueda musst have felt realy bad after they did knack and not TlG.

glad to know, i thought the budget has ballooned due to the long development cycle of this game.

Ueda says it was a corporate decision for the delay and that there were moments where he thought the game would never come out. What the hell happened?

May have just been the result of the huge mismanagement that happened at Japan Studios before the new studio head (the guy that was the studio head at SSM before that) arrived in 2012, the studio had apparently 40 or so games in development and none of them were getting done, he cut a lot of those and in the process probably decided to move TLG to PS4.

Well they had ages to think of how to design things, and character development and story.
Once this game is out, Im expecting it to be something exceptional.

"So definitely, Final Fantasy 7 and 15 and Dragon Quest Heroes 2, these games will help."

I like this quote and I agree with it, especially taking into consideration the massive japanese oriented AAA exclusives that the system is receiving. The PS4 is the only system in Japan that still has a fighting chance to match the numbers of its predecessor IMO.

About budgets. Polyphony have 100 guys for 10+M per iteration gran Turismo that takes 3-5 years to make. Turn 10 have 300 for semi-anually (now anually) forza games.

Seems like tlg team could be on the 35-50 as well. But sstill produce great games.
